The Hubble™ One fixation component uses True Align™ technology to streamline screw loading and help facilitate more accurate screw insertions.
With True Align™ technology, Hubble™ One offers a creative solution for surgeons performing thoracolumbar fixation. In Thoracolumbar procedures, just one or two degrees of error during insertion can cause unintended pressure and even fracture or breakage of the pedicle. Using True Align™ technology, the screw connects straight using compression and eliminates the possibility of a screw stripping upon insertion.
Other models require product representatives to guide surgical technicians in the, at times, complicated process of loading a screw to the driver. True Align™ takes the guess work out of screw loading. This technology corrects the screw shaft with the driver connection for a straight assembly. The Hubble™ One intuitively self-adjusts for a secure fit between the driver and the implant. This intelligent technology aims to reduce the risk of pedicle damage due to improper loading.
More so, the Hubble™ One is a comprehensive system for thoracolumbar conditions. It features a low-profile tulip design to reduce tissue damage in and around the surgical site and was designed for the treatment of degenerative disc disease (defined as back pain of discogenic origin with degeneration of the disc confirmed by history and radiographic studies); spondylolisthesis; trauma (i.e., fracture or dislocation); spinal stenosis; curvatures (i.e., scoliosis, kyphosis, and/or lordosis); tumor, pseudarthrosis; and for revision of previous fusion in skeletally mature patients. The system also features iliac fixation screws.
The Hubble™ One features self-drilling atraumatic tip pedicle screws with up to 60-degrees of possible angulation once deployed and has a screw diameter range from 4mm to 8mm with 9mm diameter screws being added to the standard system build in 2017. It’s also designed with a complete range of hooks, dominos, lateral and axial connectors. Cobalt Chrome Rods are available for longer constructs, from 5.5mm in diameter and up to 500mm in length. This versatility allows Hubble™ to meet the needs of patients with larger anatomy and complex conditions.
The Hubble™ One implants are pre-sterilized, UDI compliant, and come with peel-off labels in every implant box to improve the accuracy of reporting, save the hospital SPD expenses and improve product safety.
